IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Cheryl Ann Stone Codding, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away of complications
caused by cancer on April 11, 2007, in her home with her husband at her side.
She was born on May 30, 1944, in Idaho Falls to Frank Q. and Doris Allred Stone of Ririe, Idaho.
Cheryl grew up in Ririe during the winters and spent the summers on her father's farm east of Ririe. She graduated
from Ririe High School in 1962. Cheryl married James W. Codding III on August 4, 1977, at the First Presbyterian
Church in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She worked at the Idaho First National bank for a number of years. Cheryl began working for the
Idaho Falls Police Department Records Section in 1975. She was also a member of JC3.COM, Ltd. Co. that she and her
husband formed in 1996 when Jim retired from the Police Department. In 1997, Cheryl became the first ever civilian
supervisor of Police Records.
There was no funeral service as she wished. However, family and friends gathered at her home
from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 14, 2007.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Jim of Idaho Falls; their twins, Chere D. (Greg) Morgan and Jere D.
Smith, both living in Idaho Falls; her sister, Arline (Jerome) Bowen of Ririe, Idaho and a stepmother, Ruth Stone of
Ririe, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 2676 Vista
Avenue, Boise, ID 83705.
