IDAHO FALLS, ID -- James William Codding, Jr., 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away on February 3, 2007, at
He was born April 17, 1925, in Amsterdam, New York, to James William and Jessie May Edwards Codding,
Sr. He grew up in the Keen Valley, New York area. He enlisted in the Navy soon after graduating from high
school spending most of World War II in the South Pacific. After the war, he graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute in Troy, New York, with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
He married Evelyn Margaret Stook of Verona, New York, on July 2, 1946, in Verona. He started
work with General Electric in Schenectady, New York, in 1949, moved to Idaho Falls with Phillips Petroleum at the Site
in 1957 and retired from EG&G in 1981. He and his wife purchased 40 acres in 1963, and built their
"ranch" raising and boarding horses. He also loved music and was an avid reader.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
There was no memorial services or funeral as he wished.
Burial was in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. In lieu of
flowers the family suggests donations to Idaho Youth Ranch, PO Box 8538, Boise, ID 83707.
